Joya Kilcrest might not fit the conventional mold of a "woman of God," but that’s precisely what makes her journey so remarkable. Raised in Camden, NJ—a city often marked by its challenges—Joya became a mother at just 16, yet she still managed to graduate high school. From a young age, she felt a deep connection to God and a sense of being different from those around her. Balancing her own identity with her spiritual calling was a struggle she faced early on.

In her twenties, Joya moved to Atlanta, GA, searching for her true purpose. Despite her initial resistance and reluctance to embrace her calling, it became increasingly clear that she was destined to uplift and inspire others. Her journey wasn’t always straightforward; she learned that sometimes setbacks are setups for greater opportunities.

Even during her toughest times, people sought Joya out for advice, friendship, and wisdom. Through these interactions, she discovered her purpose: to motivate and encourage others through her own experiences and growth.

Today, Joya is a proud mother of three girls planted in Charlotte, NC and a passionate speaker committed to spreading positivity and showing God’s grace. Her mission is to help others embrace their true selves and live authentically. Joya believes that our pasts, appearances, or circumstances don’t define us—what matters most is living the life we are called to live and being true to who we are.
